What are Brows Crowning Henna Strokes?
Brows Crowning with Henna is a brows form carefully drawn with Henna colour pigments that is used to stain the skin beneath the brow hairs. The objective is to create lifelike brows depicted with a unique Henna formulation creating an illusion of depth and fullness in the area, visually filling in any sparseness with natural simulated brows hair. Henna is a natural dye made from a plant known as hina or the henna tree. Henna has been around since ancient Egyptian times when it was used for many purposes such as dyeing hair, clothes, fabrics and as make up.
Our new henna formulation has 4 colour shades.
• BCA 1 – Soft Brown
• BCA 2 – Sassy Brown

How do Brows Crowning Henna Strokes compare to other semi permanent tintings?
Henna is a safe and natural alternative to tints and dyes. It is vegan friendly and free from peroxide activators, making it a suitable option for anyone with sensitive skin. Anna Lin, our Senior Specialist Trainer said its a good stepping stone to more permanent eyebrow procedures such as Eyebrow Embroidery.
“We have found its been beneficial to those wanting longer lasting, better definition and more natural fuller look to their eyebrows with simulated brow hair strokes and for those not quite ready to go for the conventional embroidery due to personal faith or health reasons or a Classic Brows Tint which gives only a makeup coloured look.”
How long does it last and how do you maintain them?
The results of Brows Crowning typically last between 2-3 months, and it varies for different skin types. If you have a dryer complexion, your henna crowned brows will tend to last a bit longer than they would on someone with an oily complexion. To maintain them for as long as possible, its important to not over-wash your face or have any exfoliation done on the brows area and use only non oil based facial products. Henna works best on clients with healthy skin. Skin conditions like psoriasis, dermatitis and eczema will mean the henna pigments won’t last as long. Exfoliated skin is not ideal as well.
“Brows Crowning with Henna formulation is semi-permanent but the important fact is, your skin is not. We are continually releasing oils and the renewal of skin cells, paired with environmental factors means the henna pigments will shed as the skin does. The eyebrow shape will still be visible, however the brow hair strokes may not be as defined towards the end. And it’s not uncommon if the fading is not exactly uninformed so it’s best to schedule your next Brows Crowning session in 2 to 3 months.”
